Pants for school boys not a priority

I find it laughable that the Nyeri County is proposing to buy underwear for all school boys.

While underclothes are necessary, I believe that is the role of parents.

I don’t think that should not be a priority for the county government. There are other pressing needs that the county government can look into to promote the boy-child. The administration can, for example, can equip the existing public libraries with books.

Could it be that a clique of individuals have smelled an opportunity?
