After the departure of their top striker Meddie Kagere and the news of another top player, Michael Olunga, soon heading to Europe, Gor Mahia have pulled a fast one by signing striker Jacques Tuyisenge from Rwanda.

The striker penned down a two-year deal after agreeing terms which will see him join the reigning Sportpesa Premier League Champions after CHAN tournament to be played next month starting 16th of February.

Talking to FeverPitch, Gor Mahia's secretary general Ronald Ngala confirmed Tuyisenge’s signing and said they hope he will be a great addition to the team ahead of the busy season.

“We are done with signing Jacques Tuyisenge from Rwanda and he will be joining us later after CHAN competitions. He is a great player who can deliver as a striker. He signed a two year contract and he will be a great addition to our team to bolster our attack,” said Mr Ngala.

With a busy year crowded with a number of competitions, Gor Mahia will need depth and experience to stand the pressure and replicate their last year’s good performance both locally internationally.

Tuyisenge’s arrival means Gor Mahia have now exhausted the required number of foreign players by Kenya Premier League and the club will be keen to see how well the new pair of Jacob Keli and Tuyisenge work for them in the 2016 season.
