My attention has been drawn to calls by CORD leaders, led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, for an audit of Deputy President William Ruto’s spending.
For the former PM to continually claim the funds being donated by Ruto in harambees are stolen shows that he is ignorant of the institutions created by the Constitution and their roles.
Raila should present the evidence he has that the money Ruto is giving out in harambees is indeed stolen instead of taking Kenyans for a ride.
The former PM should remember the hand that gives is the hand that receives.
Raila should understand that most Kenyans are where they are today courtesy of harambees and should stop criticising the harambee spirit.

Many churches and schools in the country have been built because of harambees, which Raila knows.
He should stop settling political scores with Ruto by faulting harambees.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is one of the institutions created to check public spending and this is where Raila should present his evidence, if he has any, on Ruto.
