Three people died on the spot while several others were injured after a Sunbird Company bus lost control and plunged in the Nithi River Bridge near Chuka town in Tharaka Nithi County.
Eyewitness said the bus lost control as it descended the steep slope heading to Nairobi and rolled several times before landing on the river embankment at around 5.00pm on Tuesday.
Several injured passengers were rushed to the Chuka District Hospital after being rescued from the mangled wreckage.
