On Monday, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology VC Mabel Imbuga was sued by her former deputy Francis M Njeruh over illegal recruitment of new two deputies.
Mr Njeruh through his lawyer Gibson Kamau Kuria wanted the VC to be punished through jail for not obeying court orders issued to stop the recruitment.
In response to the claim, JKUAT lawyer Patrick Lutta said the claims made by Francis M Njeruh were false.
'' The vacancies that have been advertised in the dailies are totally new and no court order was issued to block the advertsiment,'' said Mr. Lutta. He added that Mr. Kuria's claims were not true and misplaced
Justice Monica Mbaru will issue ruling on the matter on May 9, 2014.
