Gor Mahia tormentors-In-Chief Power Dynamos of Zambia have lined up a series of more local friendly matches this week before they leave for Sudan.
The Zambians, who mauled Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia 3-0 last Sunday, are due to play GOtv winners Sofapaka FC on February 4 at Nyayo Stadium. According to Sofapaka president Elli Kalekwa, the match is on.
“We can confirm we’ll play the visitors at Nyayo Stadium on Wednesday evening,” said Kalekwa adding that the match will help his team gel in readiness for this year’s campaigns.
Promoted side Nakumatt FC have also confirmed that they’ll try their legs against the Zambians on Saturday, February 7 in their first ever meeting with a foreign team. Nakumatt, that has signed experienced players like John Njoroge, Ivan Anguyo and Jimmy Bageya will use the friendly to gauge the competitive decibels of its new squad.
There were earlier reports that Power Dynamos would play Tusker FC as well but according to the Zambians’ local contact Mr. Jorge Mendes, they’ll have to pass for Tusker.
