Moyale, Kenya: Security was beefed up yesterday in the border town of Moyale as hundreds of residents celebrated Jamhuri Day.
Security agencies comprising General Service Unit (GSU), regular police, Administration Police (AP) and the Kenya Defence Force (KDF) officers were deployed across the streets.
At Moyale Baraza Park where the cerebration took place, two armoured Personnel Cars (APC) belonging to KDF and three police vehicles were on standby.
Several residents at the function praised the Government for its concern and vowed to together fight terrorism and other crime related incidents.
