Homa Bay, Kenya: The family and colleagues of the Homa Bay County Assembly member murdered three weeks ago have postponed his burial until those who killed him are arrested.
Speaking at Homa Bay Police Station where they visited County Police Commander Gabriel Musau, the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) alleged that investigation over the murder of former Kibiri ward representative Boaz Odhiambo Ondiek was being conducted slowly. Odhiambo was shot dead by thugs at his home.
Led by their Majority Leader Michael Owino Ooro and Minority Leader Isaac Nyandege, the MCAs maintained that their colleague could not be buried yesterday until his killers are brought to book.
“Burying him before completion of the investigations will enable the murderers take unfair advantage,” Ooro said.
