Machakos, Kenya: The mother of Yatta MP Francis Mwangi is admitted to a Machakos hospital after she was knocked down by a hit-and-run driver.
Mrs Dorcas Mutheu Kilonzo, 75, was walking along a street in Machakos when a speeding lorry ran over her and sped off.
A Good Samaritan took her to hospital where she was rushed to theatre.
By the time his son arrived at the hospital, she was still in a coma but doctors said her life was out of danger.

Machakos sub-county base traffic commandant Rashid Ali said a search for the lorry has been launched.
He called on the driver to surrender himself to police saying it is an offence for a driver to hit a pedestrian and not stop or report the matter.
