Vihiga, Kenya: Angry boda boda operators from Luanda Sub-county protested to Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga over alleged harassment and extortion by police officers.
The more than 500 operators abandoned their work yesterday and assembled at Luanda Town Hall, where they narrated their suffering at the hands of police officers to Akaranga, his deputy Caleb Amaswache and County Police Commandant Sarah Duncan.
Luanda Police Station OCPD Benson Kilonzo and OCS Benjollif Munuve denied the allegations, terming them baseless.
Akaranga directed the county police commandant to immediately dissolve the Community Policing Committee.
