BUNGOMA, KENYA: A 54-year old woman who scored 119 marks in the recently announced Kenya Certificate for Primary Education (KCPE) results will join secondary school when the Form One selection is completed later this month.
Bungoma County director of adult and continuing education Issa Mohammed said the minimum marks for joining secondary school for adults is 100. Issa said Everlyne Wekesa had shown a lot of interest in continuing with education and he will have her admitted to Bungoma Adult Education Secondary School situated at Sinoko Primary School.
He said the highest marks recorded among the adult candidates was 320 scored by Wangila Amos Wafula, a 20-year-old inmate at Bungoma GK prison.
