David Moyes: Manchester United signings unlikely in January

Manchester United manager David Moyes is not expecting to bring in any new players this January despite the champions’ miserable first half to the season.

Moyes’ United are seventh in the Premier League table, 11 points adrift of leaders Arsenal, with fans demanding the Scot strengthens in a number of positions in January to revitalise their campaign.

However, the United boss said: ‘It [the injuries] won’t change how we go about things. January is not an easy month to purchase in.

‘We have a good, big squad that is getting stretched at the moment because of the number of games.

‘I think most of the business will be more towards the summer rather than January.’
