BUNGOMA, KENYA: Bungoma Catholic bishop Norman King’oo Wambua has asked Kenyans to lay strong foundations for their families which he said were foundations of peace.
Wambua who was speaking at Christ the King church in Bungoma during a Christmas service asked parents to teach their children Christian values which include peace.
Wambua said that for the nation to uphold peace, parents must teach their children the importance of embracing peace at all times.
He regretted that many parents made their children develop hatred among other people as they preached hatred at family level.
He asked parents to emulate the example of Joseph and Mary to raise families with strong Christian foundations noting that if they embraced peace, then the nation will be at peace and what is happening in South Sudan will not be experienced.
