VIHIGA COUNTY, KENYA: The Vihiga County government is working on a bill to establish a loan facility for students who intend to join institutions of higher education.
The kitty will compliment the government’s Higher Education Loans Board.
Speaking to The Standard, the County Executive Committee Member in charge of Education, Science and Technology, Mr Elmanos Vodoti, said the governor had seen the need to boost education.
“Many of our people are disadvantaged when it comes to acquiring higher education because of lack of funding,” said Vodoti.
