Athletics Kenya (AK) National Executive Council meeting that was to be held yesterday (Thursday) was pushed to 25/26th of this month in Naivasha.
AK president Isaiah Kiplagat announced that board members have agreed to hold the meeting in Naivasha, in a retreat that is expected to iron out recent administrative impasse that rocked the federation.
“We have agreed with board members that we will hold a retreat in Naivasha to sort out several issue on this dates I have told you,” said Kiplagat.
Kiplagat who faced revolt from over 14 affiliate members was non-categorical on the main agenda of the meeting only saying, sponsors, media and the government is invited to a two day-retreat.

Kiplagat who has been at helm of the most successful federation for 21 years and had been adamant, finally obliged to hold the said meeting that is being pushed forward for the third time.
“We have resolved to hold the meeting with these members and agree on this matter once and for all. Who is talking about SGM, I don’t know that,” he summed.
