Luanda, Kenya: A 45-year-old man has been arrested in Luanda Division for allegedly raping a 12-year old pupil of Ekwand Primary School.
Police had launched a manhunt for the suspect who fled after committing the barbaric act.
Shedding light into the incident, Emuhaya OCPD Benson Kilonzo said the man had gone into hiding and was being pursued by police.
He said traced him to a friend’s house where he was arrested.

“After raping the child, he went into hiding but we have been looking for him since July. Our investigations led us to a house in depot village where we found him, “he said.
The child’s mother said that on the material day, her daughter arrived home from school complaining of pain in her private parts.
She rushed her to a local hospital where the doctors established that she had been raped.
Kilonzo said the suspect would be arraigned in court to face the charges of rape adding that the full force of the law would take its course.
