Kenya: Four people were on Saturday night killed on the spot after a lorry they were travelling in rammed into a trailer at Masare junction along Bomet- Narok highway.
According to Bomet assistant traffic commandant James Munyi, the two vehicles were all headed to Nairobi when the lorry driver failed to slow down as it negotiated a potholed section of the road.
Munyi said the four occupants in the lorry died on the spot while no one in the trailer was hurt.
‘’We suspect that the lorry driver must have been driving at high speed and did not realize that there were bumps and potholes along the particular stretch,’’ said Munyi.

It took the police over four hours to retrieve the bodies which were trapped inside the wreckage.
The accident happened barely two days after a bus accident claimed 41 passengers near Ntulele, along Narok-Nairobi highway.
The traffic commandant warned drivers against overspeeding saying many lives have been lost along that particular route.
