A city motorist escaped street boys’ wrath after he accidently smashed five of the fruits they were selling.
The quarrel between the boys and motorists, on Haile Selassie Avenue, next to Kenya Planters Cooperative Union (KPCU) building, attracted crowds.
According to a witness, the man was parking his vehicle when he rode over the fruits arranged on a mat at the roadside.
The streets boys were angered by the accident and demanded Sh500 from the motorists.
They further threatened to damage his car’s side mirrors if he failed to pay.
The man parted with the money despite the fruits costing Sh10 in the nearby Muthurwa and Marikiti markets.
