Kenya: The police have intensified boat patrols along the Beach in Lamu to stop the movement of terror suspects coming to Kenya following the killing of police officers in Liboi.
Lamu West OCPD, Mr Joseph Sigei and Lamu East OCPD, Mr Samson Obare said the police have intensified boat patrols to stop the movement of terror suspects coming to Kenya or fleeing Garissa.
In Lamu West, the police have two patrol boats moving along the island to ensure safety of the locals.
“The patrol boats are manned by Administration Police to screen people coming to the island,” he said.

“We are well aware that the sea has been used before to gain entry into the country by suspected terrorists and our eyes are on the sea now,” he said.
