Nyeri,Kenya:Residents of Maragima village in Kieni constituency, Nyeri County flocked a homestead in the area to witness exhumation of a body buried at the home last January.
The family of Grace Wanjiku buried the body they mistakenly believed to be hers, only to be shocked when she resurfaced at the home last month.
Geoffrey Muiruri, an uncle to Wanjiku confirmed the family got wind that she had been killed in a road accident in Nanyuki on January 1.
“She left her matrimonial home after a quarrel with her husband and we found out through a phone call that she had died. We went and identified the body at Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary before conducting a burial ceremony,” Muiruri said.
