Efforts by area residents and the vehicle’s crew to salvage it from the effects of the ongoing heavy rains in Mandera County turned disastrous and the team could only watch from the banks as the vehicle was eventually swept away.
Luckily, the entire crew was saved.
Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in Kenya’s Northern region as Mandera Governor Ali Roba asked residents to be cautious on the roads and report any emergencies to his office.
