The moment the Congolese crooner stepped onstage, hundreds of fans surged forward as men clapped their hands while women screamed wildly throwing their hands in the air.
The excitement in the air could easily pass for Barcelona scoring against Man United as many Arsenal fans rejoiced in the adjacent Simba Saloon. But it was not a soccer match but Fally’s inaugural performance in Kenya.

The Carnivore Gardens was filled to the rafters as the sensational singer sauntered on stage. Before Fally wowed the fans with his vocal magic and sexy dancing the showpiece belonged to Kenyan acts.
The saying that the early bird catches the worm clearly described thousands of adults and youths who thronged the venue from as early as 6pm.
Quite popular
Excited Kenyans from all walks of life came to watch what they termed as a unique and rare event that brought together some of Africa’s finest from Democratic Republic of Congo.
MOB deejays were on the decks playing the best mix of music as a group of revellers outdid each other with the latest Lingala dancing styles.
The show kicked off when emcees Tero Mdee and Larry Asego introduced MTV award-winner Daddy Owen, who rocked the crowd with his songs Saluti, Coupe De Carle, Kiriro, and System Ya Kapungala among others. Other curtain raisers included Chumba and Sarakasi dancers.
Then it was the time everyone was waiting for. Fally Ipupa stepped on stage looking sharp in designer outfits backed up with a large band. The crowd went wild as he opened his mouth to sing his hit Arsenal — Fally being an Arsenal fan — to the delight of fans who were predominantly Arsenal fans at the venue. Perhaps it was coincidental as many Man United fan were contending with Barca humiliation just next door.
Roof down
He then brought down the roof with hit songs Naufra-Ketch Suite, Droit Chemin, Mioleseke, Une Minute, L’ IntÈgral des Clips, Kidiamfuka, Arsenal De Belles Melodies and L’intergral Des Clips among others.
Fally crooned and showcased his great dancing skills before capping it up with Sexy Dance. Girls pushed forward to get vantage point to see how Fally was moving his waist.
In between his act, Fally kept changing his outfits as singer Amani joined him on stage and they sang the airtel tune.
The singer performs tonight at the Carnivore to mark Radio Maisha’s first anniversary. The super Rhumba show will see Fally perform the whole night to Rhumba lovers.
Saturday the musician perfoms in Mombasa at Mamba International Disco. The two shows are part of Radio Maisha treating fans with great music.
