Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s staunch supporter, Nuru Okanga, has donated two guinea fowls to the late leader’s family during a condolence visit to Opoda Farm in Bondo.
Okanga, who is eyeing the Kolera Ward MCA seat in Kakamega County, led a delegation of family and friends to pay tribute to the man he credits for shaping his political career.
"Today, I visited my leader, Baba Raila Amollo Odinga’s resting place at Kang'o ka Jaramogi, Bondo, Siaya County, to pay my last respect to a true son of Kenya. Kenya will never be the same again without Baba, a man whose voice, courage, and vision transformed our nation and inspired millions across the world," he captioned a Facebook post.
Dressed in full Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) regalia, Okanga also wore a leafy ornament around his neck, a cultural symbol of leadership and respect.
Okanga also took a hen and two guinea fowls to Raila's widow, Mama Ida Odinga.

Okanga and his family also met Raila Jr, whom he later thanked for the warm reception.
He joined a long list of leaders and supporters who have been visiting the Odinga family, many offering traditional condolence gifts such as livestock, especially from communities in western Kenya.
Okanga, known for his Bunge la Wananchi activism, also announced plans to petition for the recovery of the tie and hat with which Odinga was buried.
He equally launched what he called the “Raila Still Breathing Movement”, claiming that the idea came to him in a dream where Odinga urged him to act on the burial items.
In many Kenyan traditions, bereavement gifts symbolise sympathy, solidarity, and goodwill toward the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, more guests are expected to visit Opoda Farm and Kang’o ka Jaramogi Mausoleum in the coming days.
The latest to visit this week is Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, accompanied by Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr., and other leaders from Ukambani, in a show of solidarity with the Odinga family.
