@Reuben_041 added, "The journey has started and we will be there,l no matter what,
Babu for governor and Aoko for women rep, Na si Nairobi itakua maendeleo tu, The change we want now."
Others were more skeptical.
@AngueiK advised, "Good, you've put my last few years ago advice into practice. But you've chosen somewhere bigger than where to start it. Look elsewhere....or both of you, Babu Owino will both fail heavily."
@makwelakwela cautioned, "Don't confuse X popularity with Ground my sister. Utaanguka vibaya sana 2027."
The Nairobi Woman Representative seat, currently held by Esther Passaris, is one of the hottestly contested political positions in the capital.
Passaris recently faced criticism after proposing amendments to the Public Order (Amendment) Bill 2025 that would have prohibited public meetings or processions within 100 metres of Parliament, protected areas under the Protected Areas Act, and courtrooms.
The bill also sought to have the Interior CS designate assembly and demonstration zones, while prescribing specific areas where public meetings and processions would be banned.
The proposal was however, later withdrawn after public outcry.
Aoko now joins a growing list of contenders for the seat, including Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu.
