KWS wardens and scientists have raised Sh1 million for wildlife conservation. In an impromptu fundraising during dinner in Nakuru on Friday, the KWS staff raised the cash under the Endowment Fund for Wildlife.

KWS Corporate Communications Manager Paul Udoto said the fund aims at raising Sh7.5 billion in 10 years.

"The fund is to enable us conserve wildlife that is facing challenges due to climate change, drought, changing land use, population growth and over reliance on volatile tourism trends," he said.
