The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has expanded its investigations into the fake gold scandal to Dubai.
DCI director George Kinoti yesterday said a team of detectives will soon leave for the United Arab Emirates to talk to various concerned parties.
“You know it was Ramadhan period when the whole thing broke out and we have to wait for them to settle down. Let no one lie to you the probe has stalled because we will get there soon,” Kinoti said from the USA.
He said they have already covered a lot of ground locally and that they just need to talk to few more people before they finalise the investigations.
“We know the parties involved and it will be a matter of time before we summon them for statements. Let them be patient.”
