Two local mobile phone service providers have been awarded for offering consumer-friendly services.
Airtel Kenya and Telkom Kenya were recognised for playing key roles in easing communication during a ceremony organised by the Consumer Downtown Association and the Communications Authority of Kenya.
Airtel bagged two awards, for low call rates within and across networks and the best marketing campaign award while Telkom scooped the affordable internet bundles award.
The inaugural Telecommunication Service Providers Award 2017 also recognised the firms for investments in infrastructure and innovations to ensure efficient services.
