Freight Forwarders Solutions (FFS) has signed a 10-year lease in Africa Logistics Properties (ALP) first warehouse complex of 14,000 square metres.
The deal is a boost to ALP which is currently setting up a second hub, nearly twice the size of the first, within Tatu City.
The entire ALP hub sits on a 22-acre site set to provide 50,000 square metres of modern warehousing facilities for international and regional companies.
FFS is also targeting warehouse construction across the capital cities of sub-Saharan Africa, riding on shareholders such as CDC Group and International Finance Corporation.
Large-scale producers have decried shortage of logistics facilities of international standard in Kenya, and rising storage costs as they compete for limited space.

“For a group that is focused on inbound cargo, freight and transport services as well as project cargo into East Africa, this logistics facility will enable us to provide an end-to-end delivery capability,” said FFS Managing Director Ben Clay.
From the deal, FFS is expected to have a competitive advantage in the contract logistics market, benefiting from lower storage and operating expenses, and operational efficiencies.
