Kenya: CORD leader Raila Odinga and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya have said will not press charges against Lengo Karisa Mudzomba who attacked them during a rally in Kwale over the weekend.
The two leaders will also not apply for or file P3 forms that the prosecution requires to proceed with assault charges against Mudzomba.
Raila said Governor Mvurya will seek out Mudzomba to understand his problems and motives, said this morning.
“Mr Mvurya will also try to understand what was the provocation or the issue that the man wanted to protest against”, Raila said in a statement Wednesday.
He appealed to Mudzomba to get in touch with the Kwale governor's office where the governor will listen to him.
