A bank manager has been charged with stealing Sh24 million from a security company.
Ms Mary Atieno Owiti, and her alleged accomplice, Bibian Nyaga of G4S security company, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
They were charged that on January 27, at Standard Chartered Bank’s Harambee Avenue Branch, jointly with others, they stole Sh24,181,657, the property of G4S.
The money was allegedly stolen on January 27.

Representing Owiti, the bank’s advocate, Chacha Odera, asked the court to release his client on cash bail.
He also asked Chief Magistrate Gilbert Mutembei to order the prosecution to supply him with copies of witness statements.
