Baringo South MP Grace Kipchoim has died in a Nairobi hospital while undergoing treatment for cancer.
She was sick throughout her whole campaigning period but still managed to trounce her opponents –reelected as the region’s MP.
She never managed to conduct a serious campaign since she was bedridden.
She, however, managed to garner 9,299 votes, beating her closest rival Charles Kamuren who got 8,905 votes.
Kenyans joined hands in mourning her death, with most sharing their feelings of shock and disbelief:
