Court has extended the suspension of doctors’ union officials’ sentence by five more days to give room for further negotiations with the Government.
The KMPDU officials were expected to begin their jail sentence today but Judge Hellen Wasilwa has reviewed the order allowing negotiations to proceed upto 31st of January.
The Union, through lawyer Washika Ochima had filed an urgent suit asking the court to review its orders that gave the union officials two weeks to finalise talks with the Government and call off the strike or go to jail.
