Chelsea winger Pedro made a surprise return to Nou Camp on Tuesday while with the Spain squad ahead of World Cup qualifiers against Italy and Albania.
The Spain international forward joined Chelsea in a £21.4million deal this summer, but has struggled to hold down a regular place.
'I was looking forward to coming, to see the people I left behind and see how things are going,' he told Barcelona's official website.
'I always wish them the best and I hope they can stay on top.'
He added on Chelsea: '[I am] enjoying a new and different experience. The team is in good shape in the top half of the table and we are working hard with the coach.'
Pedro is finding it difficult to adapt to English football, but insists he is enjoying himself at Chelsea despite exit rumors.
