If you happen to be an administrator of a WhatsApp group, you better take a good hunch of the following story.

Indian media reports that two people who were removed from a WhatsApp group hired goons who attacked the group’s administrator with knives before stabbing him.

Bunty Kurseja, a 30-year-old Mumbai-based clothes seller seller had removed Anil Mukhi and Naresh Rohra from the group because they were reportedly sharing pornographic content in the group, which had been created by Kurseja for work purposes.

The social media group was created for shopkeepers of the area to keep up with current trends in the garment industry and exchange relevant information.

According to a ‘DNA India’ report, many members of the WhatsApp group urged Kurseja to remove the duo from Whatsapp after they shared pornographic content despite repeated protests to refrain from doing so.

Kurseja removed the two after they did not heed repeated warnings. Unable to digest this, both Mukhi and Rohera threatened Kursija and even raked up an old issue of Mukhi’s monetary outstandings from the group admin.

When Kurseja refused to be cowed by their threats, they hired Babu Gaekwad and Bablya who went to the shop and demanded Mukhi’s dues from him.

When Kursija refused to oblige, Gaekwad and Bablya barged into the shop of Kursija and attacked him with knives

Investigating officer for the case, Manoj Chouhan, told local pressmen that Kurseja told police he had borrowed some money from the duo last year.

“The loan of a few lakhs was borrowed a year ago due to some family problem. The duo would keep pressing Bunty to cough up the amount, but he was unable to do so,” he said.

The hired goons allegedly posed as customers at Kurseja’s shop and got into an argument with him, following which they beat and stabbed him. Kurseja, who was rushed to a hospital, is now stable, police said.

Police have CCTV footage of the shop, where the entire incident was recorded. One of the accused who attacked him — 21-year-old Babu Suresh Gaikwad — has been arrested while the other one is still at large.
