Arsenal made a last-gasp bid to sign Juventus striker Simone Zaza, according to reports in Italy.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was in the market for a new frontman but was left frustrated in his pursuit of Real Madrid star Karim Benzema.
And the north Londoners apparently made a late attempt to land Zaza, 24, from the Serie A champions before the window slammed shut.
However, Arsenal were reportedly rebuffed by Juventus.
