Mexico: Mexican crooner Ariadna Thalia Sodi Miranda posed for the snap, fuelling rumours that she had some of her ribs removed to make herself appear slimmer.
A Mexican singer has posed for a controversial selfie with a jar that apparently contains two of her own ribs.
Ariadna Thalia Sodi Miranda, who is known to her large Filipino fanbase as just Thalia, posted a series of selfies in an Instagram video.
And it's fuelled rumours she had her ribs removed to make herself look thinner.
The 42-year-old, who is nearing one million followers on the site, posted with the video: "To all my loving Filipino fans, here is the proof! I love my famous ribs, I kept them with me all these years! And the saga continues..."
Thalia has had a long and successful career as a singer, songwriter and author.
It remains unclear whether the video was a joke or serious.
However, she did later post an edited selfie, with the ribs crossed out and 'not mine' written above them.
