They formed a deadly strike partnership in their heyday, but now in politics Romaria and Bebeto sing different tunes. Romario, elected in the 2010 general election to the Chamber of Deputies on the Brazilian Socialist Party ticket, wants a full enquiry into alleged corruption and bribery surrounding Brazil's hosting of the 2014 World Cup. Bebeto was also elected in the same year as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro under the Democratic Labour Party. Being a member of the World Cup LOC, Bebeto sees no evil in the staging of the tourney, but controversial Romario, as in his playing days, is adamant there must be a full inquest.
