South African Prezzo Jake Zuma is a very lucky man. As the rest of the continent is subsumed by social and political strife, Zuma is building new boma to accommodate his ever-increasing harem.

At the ripe age of 70 – I think that's when God's life starts, according to the Good Book – Zuma took his fourth and sixth wife overall. One spouse divorced him and another is deceased.

Now, if you thought that courageous, you should know the other three wives participated in the traditional wedding, the sort that Zuma steps out in a leopard skin and throws a few kicks in the air to show he's still got oomph. Or perhaps he took the microphone and crooned a song for his beloved.

His critics say if Zuma dedicated his energies to the development of his country, South Africa would be a lot more advanced.
But they are wrong. If the family is the smallest cog in the making of a nation, then he is doing the right thing by dedicating his energies to making children – there were 21 at the last count – and ensuring they and their mothers as are well provided for.

Some things make a lot of sense now, for instance, why Zuma's palace needed a facelift as well as expansion.
It was to accommodate his large and growing family and perhaps leave a little room for future family expansion.

It is such foresight that makes Zuma a shrewd leader; he can anticipate his future needs, which seem to be increasing with old age for obvious reasons.
