Sex workers at a brothel on Moi Avenue have banned recording devices from their ‘area of business’.
The women have ordered security officers manning the building to confiscate such devices.
They claim reports revealed by the media hurt their booming business.
A security guard at the building told The Nairobian the women pay them for the ‘extra frisking’ of clients.
“They ordered us (security guards), that suspicious clients with bulging pockets carrying cameras and such devices should not be allowed in. Those with smart phones must leave them in custody of an elderly woman in charge of lodgings then proceed in the rooms, and collect them when leaving,” he said.
He revealed he makes close to Sh2,000 per night from selling condoms at the entrance to the brothel.
