Eldoret, Kenya: Violence erupted in parts of Nandi County during URP primaries which left an aspirant injured on Thursday evening.
A Sang’alu Ward County Representative aspirant was beaten up by a group of youth who alleged he was planning to rig votes. The aspirant has been admitted at Kaiboi Mission Hospital.
The rowdy youth also attacked a vehicle belonging to Elias Busienei, an aspirant vying for MP in Mosop Constituency.
The aspirant was not in his vehicle during the attack that left his driver nursing minor injuries.
And in Masaba Primary School, protesters burnt the votes that had been cast.
