Prime Minister Raila Odinga has made good on his support for Prezzo, Kenya's Contestant in the Big Brother Africa reality Show. Earlier on Monday, the Prime Minister intrigued many social media users by calling on Kenyans to vote for the rap artist.
The PM’s message of support was sent through his twitter account in a move seen as the politician striking a chord with the youthful showbiz maestros.
Raila’s tweet unleashed to followers hit the social media platforms shortly after 9.30am before many followers including media houses embarked on re-tweets.
Said the PM in his message vide Raila Amollo Odinga @RailaOdinga
“I would like to encourage Kenyans to come together in large numbers & vote for Prezzo on @BigBroAfrica. #TeamPrezzo “
Later that day, Raila informed his twitter followers that he had cast his vote for “The King of Bling”.
" I have sent my vote to @BigBroAfrica by sending an SMS with the word Prezzo to 5626. #TeamPrezzo," his tweet read.
This will be a major boost for Prezzo who is among the finalists in the show, which comes to end in a week’s time.
Fans of Prezzo are backing his bid hoping he will emerge victorious in the show and bring back home the prize money.
He has previously received support from Nominated MP Rachael Shebesh and many local artists among them Nonini.
Prezzo on his way to the finals managed to galvanise votes from Kenya, Tanzania, Liberia and Angola that saved his neck in the popular Big Brother show to survive an exit from Upville.
