Palaver
Is trouble brewing in the G7 Alliance again? Why have have Cyrus Jirongo and Eugene Wamalwa taken a combative stance against new party-man Musalia Mudavadi. The two were reported in section of the media telling Musalia he better pull up his socks else they wipe the floor with him.

Ouch! Aren’t these the same folks who have been throwing veiled threats to Musalia to challenge his former boss and  vie for president, or else they themselves would be in the ballot paper? And is Uhuru’s National Alliance Party  of Kenya going to pitch tent at Uhuru Park soon? Reason? To receive all defectors who are scattered across parties of every shade  and ideology. They, however, every once in a while declare total allegiance to Uhuru. Think about it.

Palaver is betting that IEBC chief Isaack Hassan does not have the spine to declare vacant over 100 seats of party-hoppers. First he does not even have the budget to undertake the resultant by-elections or the flood of lawsuits that will overrun his In-Tray. This message is meant for one Musa Wetangula to stop inciting Hassan into making a decision he might find difficult to live down.

Glad to see Mr Fred Gumo, who was Regional Development minister Fred Gumo appointed to take over the duties at the Ministry of Local Government in an acting capacity. Hopefully, that does not mean this man of men and husband of wives is not taking home two salaries seeing as a certain MP was forced to hurriedly resign from ODM when Raila picked Gumo to replace Musalia. But that is water under the bridge for now.

Mr Gumo, what Nairobi (am sure you remember that metropolis where you once served as a the main City Father) needs is some sort of drainage system, roads without those crazy gridlocked roundabout things and a couple more cops to top up the rapidly diminishing prison population with estate muggers. Is that too much to ask even as you do ODM homework on the side?

And finally…
Don’t you just love the new presidential candidates’s pledges? Mr Peter Kenneth is promising a KNH-style referral hospital in every county, Martha Karua, justice and equality, while Raphael Tuju has a tribe-delinked job for every young person willing to work. Exciting times ahead, methinks.
