Situated in the outskirts of ‘Farm 64’ or Eldoret town, Annex Estate has grown to be the town’s most sought-after residential and commercial centre hosting Moi University’s School of Law and Greenvale group of schools.
Situated six kilometres along the Eldoret-Nairobi Highway, the estate is highly favoured given its proximity to the Eldoret town centre. Many middle-class residents and students prefer living here. The students, however, are in hostels dotting the estate majority of which are furnished with pay television channels.
Costs
Cost of land here varies depending on proximity to the main road. A quarter of an acre will cost you almost Sh700,000. For hostel prices, the more it offers in terms of comfort and entertainment the more expensive it will be. The cheapest hostel costs Sh4,500 a month while the most expensive will cost you Sh7,000 per month.

The most sought after hostel is Pazuri, which is completely furnished, carpeted and fitted with Dstv. Security is assured for those living at Annex, with night patrols by hired security guards and the support of a few resident volunteers. However security doesn’t come cheap and will cost one Sh500 per month.
Annex area has a number of bars and pubs targeting the student population here many of who like to party at the outskirts of the town. Fare is Sh25 from town and Sh20 to town. The vehicles are boarded from town at Langas stage along Nandi Road. A taxi ride from town to Annex Estate will cost Sh450.
Other academic institutions here include Kipkeino School named after Kenya’s athletics great Kipchoge Keino and St Aquinas Teachers College.
