The fairy-tale year for songstress-cum-actress Valerie Kimani ended on Thursday with great news of a baby on the way. The singer who stars on MTV’s Shuga series as the abstinence championing Cindi and Mo Faya as Syombua told Pulse she is due in July.

"You know the thing I love about life is the fact that the industry is so unpredictable! You just have to learn to swim even in the roughest tide and relax to go with the flow sometimes. Well, I’m expecting a baby and I’m accepting baby bootees and cheques. No roses, I hate them, please bring daisies," said Valerie who refused to reveal the name of the baby’s father.

The singer also confirmed that she has made peace with his parents.

"I’m very fortunate to have had two wonderful fathers who love me. I have learnt forgiveness and understood that they are human. I used to blame my fathers consciously and sub-consciously but I took responsibility to in fix both relationships," she adds.
