Kenya Power and Lighting Company is one of the premier companies in embracing ICT in its provision of services.
My concern is that we continue receiving electricity bills via hard copies. Since the introduction of the e-bill system, the hard copy is a formality. Most of the times I receive it after settling the bill.
It could be cheaper if KPLC introduced e-bills through their system via SMS. I believe most KPLC customers own mobile phones. It will be faster, convenient and save the environment by reducing paper use.
This will definitely be popular with your consumers. I receive my bill electronically, I use M-pesa, Zap or e-banking to pay it.
What a convenience! Over to you KPLC.
