Award-winning actress and singer Sanaipei Tande has sparked reactions online after sharing the limits she sets when taking on acting roles.

In a recent interview, the Amina hitmaker revealed that she would not engage in on-screen kissing, sexually suggestive scenes, LGBTQ-related roles, or nudity.

“I won’t kiss on the lips, I will not imply sex, I will not do LGBTQ roles—as much as I am neutral to it. I also don’t do nudity,” she stated.

The Nana Tandala actress explained that her choices are based on personal preference rather than any opposition to the LGBTQ community. She emphasized that she simply does not wish to engage in such scenes, adding that she prefers to mind her own business.

Sanaipei also highlighted how audiences often perceive actors based on their on-screen roles. She noted that viewers can become emotionally invested in a character, sometimes blurring the line between fiction and reality.

“As much as it is acting, people get engrossed in your character. For example, if you play a villain, people might end up hating you despite knowing it’s just a role,” she explained.

Regarding nudity, Sanaipei stated that her personal values set a firm boundary.

“Even if it’s just acting, people will still know that you went completely naked on TV. My personality does not allow me to do that. That is where I draw the line,” the Mdaka singer concluded.
