Makueni Women Representative has won Kenya gold medal in dart games in the ongoing East African Parliamentary games in Juba.
Rose Museo said that she embraced darts as her game after an award in 2021 in Arusha.

“Dart has never been my sport. I just discovered very late in 2021 in Arusha. I thank parliament for introducing darts game to PWDs. It is a new discovery in me.” She said.
Museo said that her favourite sport was volleyball but she was unable to participate.
“I played darts as the only game that I was allowed to play while seated because I can’t race walk, I can’t run, I can’t play volleyball my game, play netball but when parliament introduced darts I gave it a try and there I was,” she said.
She said that the contest was not a walk in the park but she worked extra hard to scoop the win and take home position one.
No witnesses
“I experienced a few challenges like strained hand muscles. The game had very few people to cheer us up hence our moral was average; only the umpires and the PWD were there to witness."
Museo, who is serving her third term said that leaders have tried to promote sports to able-bodied persons only.
“I wish to introduce sporting activities for PWD as this will give them exposure and confidence that they are baked differently.” She said.
In a message she shared to the public, Museo also thanked her supporters and her electorates saying that they elected the right person.
“I am delighted by the overwhelming congratulatory messages poured on me. This is our achievement. Every time I do some event where I am competing I tell God to prove to Makueni electorate that they assigned the right person to this position. I always carry Makueni in my heart and this makes me to work extra hard.”
