Police in Nakuru County have dealt a major blow to organised crime following the arrest of six suspected members of the “Confirm” and “Men in Black” gangs in separate operations across Nakuru West and Mau-Narok.
In Nakuru West, officers from Rhonda Police Station arrested two alleged high-ranking members of the Confirm gang, identified as John Omondi alias “Daddy” and Samuel Kamau alias “Pino”, while they were reportedly robbing members of the public.
Preliminary investigations link the pair to a series of violent offences, including murder and robbery with violence.
Police said they had evaded arrest for some time before being apprehended following a public tip-off.

The two join an accomplice, James Nduati alias “Jemu”, who was already in custody.
Detectives are processing the suspects to build a “water-tight case” ahead of prosecution.
In a separate operation in Mau-Narok, police arrested four suspects linked to the “Men in Black” gang, known for daylight shop raids and night-time home invasions.
Officers intercepted two suspects at Mau-Narok Trading Centre and recovered concealed machetes and daggers.
A follow-up search led to the recovery of stolen items, including household appliances, electronics such as televisions and radios, and other valuables.
Two additional suspects were arrested for handling stolen property, exposing what police described as a “fencing” network used to distribute stolen goods across the region.
The National Police Service (NPS) said the arrests have disrupted key links in the criminal supply chain. Residents and traders have welcomed the development, citing improved security.
All six suspects remain in custody pending formal charges, as police continue the crackdown on violent crime in the county.
