Key features of the lab include fully automated diagnostic systems that offer rapid results with high accuracy and expanded testing capabilities that cover a wide range of medical and diagnostic services.

The facility also entails equipment with increased efficiency which will significantly reduce the waiting time for results.

Dr Kalebi said the laboratory will operate around the clock, ensuring that patients receive timely results, regardless of their location or time of need.

"We are committed to offering affordable and accessible healthcare solutions, and this new facility underscores its dedication to making world-class diagnostics a reality for all Kenyans," he added.

The doctor is among the world's 75 most influential people in the field of laboratory medicine.

Born and raised in Nairobi's Kibra slum, Dr Kalebi remains the only African listed in The Power List 2021 'Showstoppers' category by The Pathologist magazine, which publishes an annual list of influential personalities, including opinion shapers in collaboration with the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
