Eight people, from a sample size of 2727, have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 323,289 and the positivity rate at 0.3%. The cumulative tests conducted so far are 3,473,702. 

From the cases, four are foreigners while four are Kenyans. The youngest is a 25-year-old while the oldest is 61 years.

The cases have been distributed in Counties as follows; Nairobi 5, Mandera, Meru and Mombasa 1 case each.

Today, 15 patients have recovered from the disease, and all are from the the Home-Based and Isolation Care. This pushes the total number of recoveries to 317,506.

No death has been reported, therefore, the cumulative fatalities remains at 5,647.

A total of 23 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 113 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

No patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Three patients are on supplemental oxygen and all of them are in the general wards. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

As of Monday, March 20, a total of 17,340,316 vaccines had been administered across the country. 7,961,613 are partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated are 7,938,967.
